I assume that this is a shrub of Solanum sp.
As you know, potatoes originally come from high Andes, South America. We were told that Huasahuasi, located in the Andes Highland had a proud crop yields of potatoes and not only supply to whole country but also export to the world, though I haven’t proved it.

This time, we visited two different places in Huasahuasi. One of them was a mountain path where Spanish botanists, Ruiz and Pavón walked 200 years ago. There were various orchids in flower there.
First of all, this is an Oncidium bicolor.
The fiesta seemed to run whole day, so we set off for our trip to Huasahuasi.
Huasahuasi is around 2500-3000 metres (8202-9843 feet) in elevation. The surrounding mountains may be around 4000-5000 metres (13123-16404 feet) in elevation.
So it was amazing to see some great cacti growing there.

We were going to visit Huasahuasi again this day, but there was a fiesta in Tarma. Thinking this was a good oportunity, we decided to delay the departure in order to see the fiesta.
